WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. – Today, Tops Friendly Markets announced that it has launched its Tops Totes for Change program which will benefit non-profit organizations across the chains three state imprint. Within those organizations the funds will benefit area local chapters including Children’s Hospitals and area Food Banks.

“Tops Friendly Markets has been a supporter of JDRF for well over 25 years and this new campaign, Tops Totes for Change, is just one more way that they are helping to improve the quality of life for those living in Western New York and we are very grateful for their support,” said Karen Swierski, executive director, Western New York Chapter, JDRF.

“This program not only benefits our charitable partners, but our environment as well,” said Kathy Sautter, public and media relations manager for Top. Tops Totes for Change will allow the community to give back to area Children’s Hospitals throughout its service area in Western New York.

“On behalf of the 62 kids per minute who enter a CMN Hospital, we’re honored and excited to be part of Tops Friendly Market’s announcement of reusable shopping bags for non-profits,” said Kristen McCloy, director of partnerships at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. “Not only does this alignment uphold their role and belief in reducing the use of plastic bags, but also supports the local children’s hospitals where both shoppers and associates live and work. It’s a win – win.”

"We are thrilled to be included in the Tops Totes for Change campaign," said Michael Weiner, President and CEO, United Way of Buffalo & Erie County.
