Williamsville, N.Y. –Tops Friendly Markets, a leading full-service grocery retailer in New York, northern Pennsylvania, and Vermont, is pleased to announce that Tops associate, Karen Warner, was recently recognized as one of 40 Western New Yorkers who have been recognized by Black Achievers, Inc. as a 2019 Black Achiever! Now in its 47th year, the purpose of Black Achievers is to honor outstanding individuals and show the community the variety and quality of achievement of African Americans in Western New York. Karen, along with the other 2019 recipients, were honored at a black tie gala on Saturday, October 5th at the Buffalo Grand Hotel.

Karen has been a dedicated associate since she joined the Tops team in November 2014. In her role as a nurse case manager risk analyst in the risk management department, she plays an integral role in managing workers compensation for the company. Karen is a Registered Nurse who provides key input on all medical aspects of workers compensation claims as well as helps to establish and monitor the light duty program. She also serves as a liaison between Tops associates and our third party workers compensation provider. We wish to congratulate Karen on her remarkable achievement.
