| TOPS CAMPAIGN PROCEEDS FOR UNITED WAY EXCEED $47,000 | |
| WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. – Tops Friendly Markets, a leading full-service grocery retailer in New York, northern Pennsylvania, and Vermont, is pleased to announce that this year’s annual campaign for the United Way of Erie and Niagara County raised over $47,927 for the United Way. The campaign kicked off September 1 at all participating Tops Friendly Market locations in Erie and Niagara Counties and ran through September 14, 2019. Customers supported the United Way and made a difference by purchasing a United Way icon for $1.00 or rounding up their change at the register. Tops donation of the proceeds from the campaign to United Way will support their mission of helping to bring people, organizations, and resources together to improve community well-being. “Tops Markets strongly believes in giving back to the communities in which we serve. With the help and compassion of our associates and customers, we know we can make a difference supporting the United Way Campaign,” said Diane Colgan, United Way Board Member and senior vice president of marketing for Tops Markets. Tops has conducted this campaign with the United Way since 2014. Additionally, Tops has been supporting the United Way’s Corporate Challenge, now in its twelfth year, which awards prizes to encourage people to donate.
