TOPS ANNOUNCES SCHOOL PRIDE FOOD DRIVE WINNER | |
Williamsville, NY - On Saturday, in collaboration with community partners the Town of Cheektowaga, DCAT, Sefar, Inc., and Erie County Legislator John Bruso, Tops Friendly Markets announced the winner of the 3rd Annual School Pride Food Drive. This annual event benefits three local food pantries - Tri Community Food Pantry, St. Martha's, and Trinity Episcopal. For the third straight year, St Mary's School won collecting 1,020 pounds of food. A total of 5,560 pounds of foods was collected and $5,515 was raised among the six schools who competed. Additionally, Tops donated $1,000 worth of food toward the cause. For their efforts, St. Mary's will win an ice cream social for their school. Tops is grateful for the schools and the community coming together for such a worthy cause to help eradicate hunger in Western New York. ###
