WILLIAMSVILLE. N.Y. – In time for tailgate parties, fall festivals and the pending holiday season, Tops Friendly Markets is rolling out its new corporate brand soda pop line that will be comparable to the popular national brands. With names that include Spin, Quist, Ramp and Dr. Bob, Tops adds more excitement to the soft drink aisles.

Tops' corporate brand soda pop appeals to a variety of tastes and offers good value to consumers. Spin Cola, also available in diet, is a traditional cola for the young at heart. Other Spin varieties include caffeine free and caffeine-free diet. Quist, a tasty twist of natural citrus flavors, is a caffeine free soda that is crisp, light and satisfying. Thirst-quenching Quist is available in regular and diet.

Ramp neon colored soda, bursting with a vibrant fruit flavor, is sure to be popular with the younger crowd. It appeals to those with a sense of adventure in their beverage preference, bordering on extreme. Dr. Bob, soda with a peppery kick, is a tasty alternative for cola drinkers available in regular and diet.

“Tops is continually increasing the availability of corporate brand products in our stores as we’re discovering that many of our customers prefer these products to some of the higher priced national brands,” said Dave Bordonaro, director of category management/procurement. “The private label soda is a great addition, offering exciting flavors at a good value,” he added.

The new flavors, now available at all Tops locations, can be purchased in convenient 6-packs (24 ounce bottles), 12-pack cans (12 ounces) as well as 2-liter bottles. Later this fall, Tops will continue to launch additional soft drink beverage choices with an emphasis on fruit flavors as well as the more traditional soda pop tastes such as root beer and cream soda.
