WILLIAMSVILLE, NY –The Erie County Agricultural Society (ECAS) and Tops have developed initiatives to help families create summer time experiences that will mimic the traditional activities found at the Erie County Fair.

Tops is making sure that you can still indulge in those delicious fair foods this summer right from the comfort of your own home with inspiration to create a fantastic family fair experience with recipe and game ideas at

From classic sausage with peppers and onions, Mexican Street Corn made with delicious Amaize Corn, and grilled cajun potato wedges to unique offerings that only the fair can dream up like Cheetos’ Flamin Hot Mac N’ Cheese, Tops has great ideas on how to bring the fair alive for family and friends this summer! Even those sweet treats, with a healthy twist, such as the deep fried Oreos can be found at the Tops’ recipe gallery. There are also easy at home recipes for homemade fried ice cream and fried dough that’s ready in just ten minutes.

Create your very own fun fair games like a water balloon or egg toss, hula hoop contests, guess the number of Goldfish (the delicious crunchy snack) in the fish bowl, ring toss, lollipop pull, backyard bowling, and bean bag ladder toss are easy. Be sure to wrap up your fair experience and join ECAS and Tops on Saturday, August 15 for BLAST OUT HUNGER, a Food Drive and Fireworks Drive-In at the Hamburg Fairgrounds. The admission price is a bag of non-perishable food to benefit FeedMore WNY with donations taken directly from your own vehicle as you enter from either the South Park Avenue or Quinby Drive entrances. The Skylighters’ Fireworks display will begin at 9:30pm and will be accompanied by music on AM 1620, gates open at 7:00pm (The rain date will be Saturday, August 22.) Social distancing measures will be strictly adhered to. Parking will be first come first serve. Before heading to the Fairgrounds for the fireworks, organizers are encouraging you to pick up your non-perishable food items for donation from your local Tops Friendly Markets.
