TOPS FRIENDLY MARKETS & VILLAGE OFFICIALS HOST 4TH ANNUAL SCHOOL PRIDE FOOD DRIVE
(Williamsville, NY) - Tops Friendly Markets, in collaboration with several village officials, will be kicking off their 4th Annual School Pride Food Drive to benefit three local food pantries - Tri Community Food Pantry, St. Martha's, and Trinity Episcopal. While this year’s event will look a little different than in years past the enthusiasm to support those in need in the community is still alive and well.

To make a non-perishable food donation the community is encouraged to stop by on Saturday, September 26 from 9:00 am-5:00 pm at any one of three participating Tops locations to support not only their local participating school, but coordinating food pantry:

Tops 5175 Broadway in Depew will have volunteers from Depew High School Academy of Finance and Cayuga Elementary School PTO and will benefit Tri-Community Food Pantry

Tops 4777 Transit Rd. in Depew will have volunteers from St. Mary’s High School and will benefit Trinity Episcopal Food Pantry

Tops 6363 Transit Rd. in Depew will have volunteers from John Sciole and Hillview Elementary Schools and will benefit St. Martha's Food Pantry. Beginning at 1:00 pm Erie County Legislator, Frank Todaro, Village of Depew Mayor, Kevin Peterson, and Town of Cheektowaga Supervisor, Diane Benczkowski, will be on hand assisting will collections.

“We’re excited to once again host the annual School Pride Food Drive to benefit those in need in our community,” said Audrey Hamernik, a community champion for Tops Friendly Markets. “At Tops we are committed to eradicating hunger and enhancing the quality of life for children through education and by way of this food drive, we are not only educating our children about the importance of giving back and helping those less fortunate, but we are engaging them as well with each donation they help collect.”
