|TOPS FRIENDLY MARKETS HOSTS CELEBRITY PUTTING CONTEST TO BENEFIT JOHN R. OISHEI CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL|
|WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. — Tops Friendly Markets is looking forward to once again hosting its annual golf tournament to raise money and awareness for the incredible needs associated with the care of all children treated at John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital (OCH). To kick off this year’s tournament, we will host a Celebrity Putting Contest on Sunday, July 18 from 10:45 am – 12 noon at Transit Valley Country Club (8920 Transit Rd., East Amherst) to bring awareness and hope while raising the spirits of our Champion Kids and Stone’s Buddies who will represent the more than 150,000 children who are cared for at the hospital each year.
Local radio, television, and sports celebrities will each partner with one child from the hospital and together will participate in a putting contest that will take place the day before the golf outing. This event will occur on a miniature golf course prepared by Transit Valley Country Club on their practice green.
Tops Friendly Markets will make a $250 contribution in each team’s name to OCH. Additionally, one lucky team will be honored as the grand prize winner when Tops donates $500 to OCH!
Tops is proud to be able to continue to provide the resources that bring excellent health care to the children of WNY. No child is ever turned away from the hospital due to the family’s inability to pay. To date Tops has raised over $5.1 million dollars for this event.
