TOPS ANNOUNCES 45TH ANNUAL ROCHESTER ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE
“The Trinity and the Shamrock”

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. – After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the streets of Rochester will once again be a sea of green as the city celebrates their Irish heritage on Saturday, March 12 at 12:30 pm. Made up of over 100 entries, 3,000 marchers, 12 bands from all over New York State and Canada, and seven dance schools marching, this parade is a spectacle not to be missed. Every year over 100,000 spectators clamor to take in the sights and sounds of this annual tradition which was started by the Ancient Order of the Hibernians. The event steps off at the corner of East Ave. at Alexander Street, winding its way to Main Street and ends at Main and Fitzhugh.

Every year, the Tops St. Patrick’s Day Parade honors people and organizations in the Rochester community who give of their time and talents to serve others.

This year’s Honorees are: • Grand Marshal – Radio Station WHAM - Celebrating 100 Years of Broadcasting • Community Organization – Compeer • Citizen of the Year – Marianne Tucker • Community Leader of the Year – The Ancient Order of Hibernians • Business Leader of the Year – Mike McKeon of Silk O’Loughlin’s • Sportsperson of the Year – Don Stevens • Honorary Marshal – The County of Monroe and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office – Celebrating 200 years of service to our community • Ambassador to Waterford – Patrick Michael Murphy

Thanks to the hard work of the Tops St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee, comprised of 20 dedicated volunteers, this non-profit organization works tirelessly year-round alongside 150 parade day volunteers, marshals, banner carriers, judges, security, and so many others, to make this an event to remember!
