Williamsville, N.Y. –Tops Friendly Markets is proud to celebrate the Grand Re-Opening of its 301 Meadow Drive North Tonawanda, NY location. This store, centrally located in the heart of NT, serves a cross population of the community, and allows for convenient access to many local parks, schools, and museums like the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum and Railroad Museum of Niagara. This renovation marks the 30th location recently updated with a new look and a renewed focus on fresh departments. Tops will cut the ribbon on this multi-million-dollar renovation project at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. This store with over 58,000 sq. ft will offer new, enhanced services, an expanded assortment of products, and an enlarged fresh perimeter with new updated décor. This store has been refreshed from top to bottom for a new and contemporary experience which includes new exterior paint with refreshed awnings, landscaping, energy efficient equipment and LED lighting both inside and out, a Citizen Bank for convenient banking, solar powered efficiencies, expanded state-of-the-art self-check outs, renovated restrooms, and new interior décor. Store Manager, Sam Qureshi, said he and his team are working hard every day to make life easier for their shoppers by focusing on affordable, easy-to-prepare meal options as well as providing some new additions. “When it comes to freshness, convenience and variety, you'll find everything here at your newly remodeled North Tonawanda store. With inspiring products including a wider selection of domestic and imported cheeses, a brew market, healthy hydration selection, custom cut meats by real butchers, and even a new slushy machine, guests are sure to enjoy all we have to offer.”

From the moment you walk in you’ll feel the freshness in the expanded produce area complete with items of the season including fresh cut veggies, fruit, and trays, carefully selected, washed, cut, and prepared for quick and easy ready-to-serve convenience. Tops partners with over 500 local produce and dairy farmers including several neighbors right in western New York. Tops is also a proud supporter of product grown by New York State farmers who adhere to the New York State Grown and Certified program’s requirements, which includes verification of safe food handling practices and participation in environmental sustainability programs.

As you continue through the store you’ll notice an expansion of the deli, cheeses and specialty items and carry out café areas with delicious sandwiches, signature pizzas, extensive prepared salad varieties, and other grab-and-go breakfast, lunch, and dinner options.

Tops bakery offers an expanded assortment of freshly baked breads, pastries, and cakes, freshly fried donuts, along with gluten free items from Vin-Chet’s, a local Western NY bakery. Throughout the store, shoppers will also see an increase of antibiotic-free meat, plant based options, sustainable seafood selections, freshly prepared sushi, along with a larger selection of certified organic and gluten-free offerings that are fully integrated in aisle. To stay hydrated there is an expanded section of the store dedicated to healthy hydration including waters, teas, mixers, and sparkling waters, including many imported varieties. The stores remodel also includes the Pharmacy now with a new waiting area which provides a wide variety of services to the community seven days a week. Tops is committed to making it easy for shoppers to get every healthy thing they need in one quick stop and offers a number of immunizations including Covid -19 booster shots, shingles, influenza, and flu shots, and the newest pneumonia vaccination.
