Erie, PA (July 18, 2023) – Kellogg Company and Tops Friendly Markets (Tops) have teamed up to tackle the ongoing issue of hunger in the communities they serve.

“At Tops, we are committed to eradicating hunger in the communities where we serve,” said Kathy Sautter, director, corporate communications and public relations for Tops. “We’re proud to support local food banks and hunger-relief programs in the neighborhoods we serve, and we’re able to do this because of the generosity of partners like Kellogg Company.” Food insecurity exists in every county in the United States.1 In 2021, 53 million Americans utilized food banks.

“With 34 million people in America not knowing where their next meal will come from, the need to help feed and fulfill continues,” said Greg Carbone, Vice President of Sales, Kellogg Company. “Kellogg’s Better Days® Promise is committed to feeding people facing food insecurity, and we’re proud to partner with Tops to support those experiencing hunger in our communities.”

Kellogg’s donation is part of its Better Days® Promise strategy, which aims to create better days for 3 billion people by 2030. Since 2015, Kellogg has fed more than 252 million people facing hunger and reached more than 4.3 million children through feeding programs. [1] ###
