TOPS FRIENDLY MARKETS AND WK KELLOGG COMPANY JOIN FORCES TO FIGHT FOOD INSECURITY
WK Kellogg donates $5,000 to support FeedMore WNY

Williamsville, NY – WK Kellogg Company and Tops Friendly Markets (Tops) have teamed up to tackle the ongoing issue of hunger in the communities they serve. A press event will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 13, at the Tops located at 65 Grey Street in East Aurora, where FeedMore WNY will be presented with a $5,000 contribution from both Tops and Kellogg. “At Tops, we are committed to eradicating hunger in the communities where we serve,” said Kathy Sautter, director, corporate communications and public relations for Tops. “We’re proud to support local food banks and hunger-relief programs in the neighborhoods we serve, and we’re able to do this because of the generosity of partners like WK Kellogg Company.” Food insecurity exists in every county in the United States.1 In 2021, 53 million Americans utilized food banks.1 “With 34 million people in America not knowing where their next meal will come from, the need to help feed and fulfill continues,” said Mike Brown, Vice President of Sales, Kellogg Company. “WK Kellogg’s Better Days® Promise is committed to feeding people facing food insecurity, and we’re proud to partner with Tops to support those experiencing hunger in our communities.” As a result of this donation, FeedMore WNY will be able to provide food to the growing number of individuals experiencing food insecurity in our community. In 2022, FeedMore WNY assisted 197,500 individuals, including more than 73,000 children. “As the cost of living continues to remain incredibly high, more and more individuals and families are turning to food assistance programs for help to make ends meet. FeedMore WNY is only able to serve our community thanks to the generous support of partners like Tops Friendly Markets and WK Kellogg Company. This donation will enable us to continue our critical mission that offers dignity, hope and brighter futures to Western New York neighbors in need by providing nutritious food, friendship and skills training,” Collin Bishop, chief communications officer for FeedMore WNY, said.
