Buffalo, NY - This holiday season Tops Markets is offering their customers opportunities to help support the Food Bank of the Southern Tier and the Salvation Army in their missions to feed those in need. Through various events and promotions, Tops customers will have the opportunity to give back to their community and help brighten the holidays for needy families. "Our customers have shown their dedication to the Food Bank of the Southern Tier, Salvation Army and the surrounding community in the past," said Max T. Henderson, executive vice president and general manager, Tops Markets. "I'm sure this year they will once again prove how generous New Yorkers can be throughout the holidays." Last year, Tops customers who donated $1 at the checkout helped to raise over $226,000 chain wide, including $6,500 for the Food Bank of the Southern Tier. Through November and December, Tops customers will have a couple of options to help support the Food Bank of the Southern Tier and Salvation Army: - Hope for the Holidays - a shopper friendly program that encourages Tops customers to help the Food Bank and Salvation Army by adding $1 to their grocery bill. The program runs November 13th through December 3rd. All proceeds raised will help support the Food Bank and Salvation Army this holiday season. - BonusCard Turkeys - gives Tops customers, who have earned 250 points on their BonusCard during the month of November, the option to donate their free turkey to Food Bank of the Southern Tier.
