Highlighted by one-day Food Bank Give-a-Thon on November 18

Cleveland, OH - This holiday season Tops Markets is offering their customers opportunities to help support regional food banks in their mission to feed those in need. Through various events and promotions, Tops customers will have the opportunity to give back to their community and help brighten the holidays for needy families. Organizations that will be benefit from these opportunities include Cleveland Foodbank, Akron-Canton Food Bank, Second Harvest Foodbank of North Central Ohio and Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley.

"Our customers have shown their dedication to local food banks and the Northeast Ohio community in the past," said Dennis Hanley, regional vice president, Tops Markets. "I'm sure this year they will once again prove how generous Northeast Ohioans can be." Last year, Tops customers who donated $1 at the checkout helped to raise over $57,000 for Northeast Ohio food banks, including $4,800 for Second Harvest of North Central Ohio.

Through November and December, Tops customers will have a few options to help support Second Harvest Foodbank of North Central Ohio: - Food Bank Give-a-Thon - the one-day food drive and cash collection will be held simultaneously at five Tops locations all day on Friday, November 18. Handbills with suggested food donation items (Super 6) requested by the food banks will be distributed to customers. The participating locations include:

- Chapel Hill Shopping Plaza, 230 Howe Avenue, Cuyahoga Falls

- 22501 Shore Center Drive, Euclid

- 821 Cleveland Street, Elyria - 4948 Turney Road, Garfield

- Parmatown, 7919 Day Drive, Parma

-Hope for the Holidays - a shopper friendly program that encourages Tops customers to help regional food banks and the Salvation Army by adding $1 to their grocery bill. The program runs November 13th through December 3rd, 2005. All proceeds raised will help support the food banks and Salvation Army units this holiday season.

- BonusCard Turkeys - gives Tops and customers, who have earned 250 points on their BonusCard during the month of November, the option to donate their free turkey to Second Harvest Foodbank of North Central Ohio.
