JENNA KOCH, TO MAKE DONATIONS TO THOSE IN NEED | |
What: This annual tradition, now nine years strong, unites Tops Friendly Markets and the City of Tonawanda to give back to those in need this holiday season. Vietnam Veterans Chapter 77 and St. Francis Food Pantry will once again be the benefactors of a heartfelt donation of 125 turkeys to help those less fortunate. “The annual tradition of donating turkeys during the holidays reminds us that the heart of this season is truly about giving,” said Courtney Mailhot, senior community relations manager for Tops. “It’s our way of sharing warmth, comfort, and a sense of togetherness with those in need, helping everyone enjoy the joy of a festive meal. We hope to spread the love and generosity that makes this time of year so special for all.” “The partnership Tops Friendly Markets has with our community, especially during times of need is paramount to our organizations mission to giving back to our Veterans and families in our city. I am extremely thankful to Tops for this generous donation to organizations in our city that provide essential resources to those individuals and families in need. The VVA and St. Francis food pantry operate 24/7 and are providing food and other resources for hundreds of individuals and families per month. I am thankful to all those who helped make today happen.
