CLEVELAND, OH - In a special luncheon held this afternoon at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital at University Hospitals of Cleveland, representatives from Tops Markets presented the hospital with a donation of $43,023 from its recent "Our Kids" program.

"We strongly believe in the importance of Tops giving back to the communities we serve, particularly to such a worthwhile organization as Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital," stated Max T. Henderson, executive vice president and general manager, Tops Markets. "This is the second year for the 'Our Kids' program and the generosity of our customers never ceases to amaze us."

Sponsored by Tops Markets, "Our Kids" is run in conjunction with Childrens Miracle Network. Customers were encouraged to purchase Children's Miracle Network paper balloons at the checkout from July 3-16. Tops also hosted the annual "Our Kids" golf outing for associates and vendors. Money raised from both the sale of the balloons and the golf outing was donated to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in Tops' operating areas. This year, Tops will donate a total of $310,000 to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals across New York, Northwestern Pennsylvania and Northeast Ohio.

"Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital has enjoyed a tremendous relationship with TOPS over the past few years," said Sean E. Chamberlin, manager, strategic funding, University Hospitals Health System. "Their dedication to Rainbow and the Cleveland community was evidenced not only by their success in this year's campaign, but also by the enthusiasm they brought as volunteers to our annual Radio-thon. We are very excited about growing this relationship in the coming years."
