Buffalo, NY - Tops Markets today announced a $2,000 donation to help families across Central New York enjoy a Thanksgiving meal. Tops presented 200 ten-dollar gift cards to the Food Bank of CNY. The donation will be used towards the purchase of 200 turkeys for families in need this Thanksgiving holiday.

"We believe it is so very important for Tops to fulfill its mission of feeding those less fortunate, particularly during the holiday season," stated Max Henderson, executive vice president and general manager, Tops Markets. "We hope that our donation can help to make this year's Thanksgiving meal better for those in need across Central New York."

Tops Markets will be donating over $40,500 worth of turkeys and monetary funds to food banks and Salvation Army units throughout New York State and Northeast Ohio so that these various organizations can help their local communities this Thanksgiving.

"We are extremely thankful for Tops' continued support of our organization and its commitment to help supply food for the less fortunate in our community," said Thomas Slater, executive director, Food Bank of CNY.
