Carlisle, PA - Officials from Giant Food Stores, TOPS Markets and Martin's Food Markets announced that nine varieties of children's cough and cold medicines have been removed from store shelves due to unclear instructions on the label that could lead to accidental overdose. Several over-the-counter drug manufacturers have issued voluntary market withdrawals of their products due to recent publicity citing the misuse of infant cough and cold products.
