Williamsville, NY - TOPS Markets is once again celebrating Black History month in a number of its stores during the entire month of February.

Five TOPS Markets will be participating throughout the month with special events celebrating the heritage and achievements for Black Americans. Check the following participating stores for their individual schedules of activities throughout the month:

345 Amherst Street in Buffalo

1275 Jefferson Avenue in Buffalo

1000 Portage Road in Niagara Falls

710 Lake Avenue in Rochester

285 Upper Falls Boulevard in Rochester

Display units illustrating Black History Month and highlighting the African-American musical legacy will be featured at the five stores listed above. For centuries the African-American experience has been instrumental in the development of different genres of music, including spirituals, jazz, R&B, hip hop and more.

Copies of Tops' "Profiles in Excellence" brochure are available to customers in all TOPS Markets. The focus of this month's edition is a celebration of African-American Heritage, including profiles of inspiring African-Americans whose influence has shaped American music. Profiles of Jeff Majors, Eubie Blake, Jimmy Smith, Mary J Blige, and Lenny Kravitz are featured.
