SALE OF TERRELL OWENS CEREAL AT TOPS FRIENDLY MARKETS SURPASSES 33,000 BOXES
WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. – Sales of T.O.’s, the honey nut toasted oats cereal named for Buffalo Bills wide receiver Terrell Owens, have surpassed 33,000 boxes, it was announced today by Tops Friendly Markets.

T.O.’s, which are available in-store only at Tops’ 76 locations, went on sale in late July. Tops is the leading full-service grocery retailer in Western New York, Central New York, including Rochester, and Northwestern Pennsylvania, along with being the official supermarket of the Buffalo Bills and the sponsor of the Bills’ 50th anniversary season.

“Sales of T.O.’s have been brisk and we are working hard to keep them on store shelves,” said Katie McKenna, Tops spokeswoman. “With the start of the Bills regular season and Terrell’s debut in a Bills uniform we anticipate the interest and demand for the cereal to stay strong.”

In addition, it was announced this week that 50 cases of T.O.’s would be donated to the Food Bank of Western New York.

The cereal is a joint partnership between Tops, Owens and PLB Sports.
