Ridge Road East and Winton Road stores receive face lifts as part of Tops’ capital plan

Williamsville, NY – Tops Friendly Markets, the leading full-service grocery retailer in Western New York, Central New York, including Rochester and Northwestern Pennsylvania, today announced the completion of two Rochester store renovations. The stores located at 1455 Ridge Road East and 175 N. Winton Road, both located in Monroe County, received minor remodels as part of Tops’ previously announced $150 million capital investment plan. The renovations at these two locations are a testament to Tops’ ongoing and strong commitment to the Rochester community.

“Since Tops has returned to a locally operated company we have made a commitment to the Rochester community to continue investing in our stores,” said Frank Curci, Tops’ president and CEO. “We have entered into an exciting time for Tops Markets where we’re able to provide our neighbors, with a better, more convenient shopping experience.”

Both stores’ renovations include upgraded and expanded bakery, produce and dairy cases and renovations to Tops’ Carry-Out Café, as well as enhanced décor throughout the store. Specifically at the Ridge Road East store, new meat and seafood cases have been upgraded, and at the N. Winton Rd store, the stores’ frozen cases have been changed to allow for an expanded product selection.

In both stores, the bottle return areas have been moved or expanded to accommodate the anticipated increase in bottle redemptions as a result of the recently implemented expansion of New York’s Returnable Container Law.

Tops Markets at both Rochester locations is open from 6:00 a.m. – midnight, seven days a week..
