TOPS FRIENDLY MARKETS CELEBRATES GRAND REOPENING AT CORTLAND LOCATION | |
WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. – Tops Friendly Markets, the leading full-service grocery retailer in Western New York, Central New York, including Rochester, and Northwestern Pennsylvania, today announced at a grand reopening celebration, that a major renovation of its Cortland, NY location is complete. This renovation is part of Tops’ $150 million capital investment plan. “I am very happy to be able to announce the completion of this important project in an area where Tops has a long, proud tradition,” said Frank Curci, Tops’ president and CEO. “We’re offering shoppers an enhanced in-store experience, paying special attention to convenience, quality, variety and an overall great value.” The multi-million dollar renovation of this 77,000 square-foot store, located at 3932 State Route 281 will provide customers with many new product offerings including expanded ethnic, chef-inspired, and natural and organic items. The renovation also includes expanded meat and seafood display cases, and dairy and frozen food display cases which will offer customers a significantly wider variety of products to choose from. The Cortland location also boasts enhanced bakery and floral departments. Customers will also notice a brand new exterior bottle return area. The store will continue to offer shoppers fresh brewed coffee, select cold beverages and baked goods through its franchised full-service Tim Hortons Express outlet, and several varieties of Anchor Bar chicken wings prepared and ready to heat and serve in the store’s expanded Carry Out Café. The frozen food display cases feature closed-door cases which will offer expanded variety, and will also make them significantly more energy efficient.
