TOPS MARKETS’ COOPERSTOWN STORE LOCATED IN THE TOWN OF HARTWICK MAKES DONATION TO LOCAL FOOD BANK
WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. – On Thursday, November 18, the Cooperstown, NY Tops Friendly Markets, located in the Town of Hartwick, presented the Cooperstown Food Bank with a donation of various food product for the Food Bank’s 2010 Thanksgiving meal preparations. 100 turkeys, 100 boxes of stuffing, 100 cans of corn, and 100 cans of French style green beans were presented to the food bank from Tops Friendly Markets representatives.

“We wanted to present our local food bank with a substantial donation to assist the extraordinary effort they put forward in preparing meals for the less fortunate on the holiday,” said Dennis DiMartin, Tops Friendly Markets store manager. “Our company has a strong commitment to the communities it serves, and we are proud to be a strong supporter of the Cooperstown community.”

The presentation was attended by Ellen St. John, who founded the Cooperstown Food Bank in 1977. “We are thankful to Tops Markets for the donation that was made,” said St. John. “We will use the donation from now throughout the holiday season to provide meals to the member of our community who need them.”
