ARCADE RESIDENT AWARDED FREE GAS AND GROCERIES FOR A YEAR FROM TOPS FRIENDLY MARKETS
Tops’ Free Gas and Groceries campaign raises $102,030 for Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. – Tops Friendly Markets, a leading full-service grocery retailer in upstate New York and northern Pennsylvania, today awarded Julie Gates of Arcade, NY free gas and groceries for a year (a $10,000 value). In a presentation that took place today at the Arcade, NY Tops Friendly Markets, on W. Main Street, Gates received her prize as the winner of the company’s campaign to benefit Women and Children’ Hospital of Buffalo.

From October 31, 2010 through November 13, 2010, customers who contributed $1 per entry to the campaign were automatically entered to win free gas and groceries for a year from Tops. The drawing was held on November 19 at the Festival of Trees Gala at the Hyatt Regency in Buffalo, NY. This year, the Tops campaign raised $102,030 with proceeds benefiting the Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo.

“We are thrilled to present this prize to one of our loyal shoppers,” said Andrew Brocato, director of community relations for Tops Markets. “With the help of customers like Julie who generously donated to the campaign, we were able to raise over $100,000 for the hospital, which will undoubtedly help to provide a better quality of life for children in our community.”
