Jones is the winner of a brand new vehicle valued at $20,000 as part of the giveaway running from Memorial Day through July 4 (5/30 – 7/4.). Every time a customer shops at a Tops Markets during that period of time using their BonusCard, they are automatically entered into that day’s drawing for a chance to win a brand new car. Jones is Tops’ May 31st Great American Car-A-Day winner, and made her winning purchase at the Gates location.

The “Great American Car-A-Day” giveaway is the first of its kind for a grocer in the area and allows customers to enter to win daily every time they checkout at a Tops Markets location. One drawing will be held each day and one winner will be selected for each daily drawing from all eligible entries in a random drawing held by Tops on or about two days after the applicable daily drawing period.

Customers who purchase specially marked “bonus” Fresh Express, Pepsi, Arm and Hammer, Coca Cola, Lay’s, Pantene, Gillette, Jennie-O, Top Care and Tops private label products will receive one additional entry for each “bonus” item, subject to a daily maximum of no more than eighteen bonus store entries per day. As part of the Great American Car-A-Day Giveaway, on May 24 Tops launched the Great American Charity Car Giveaway, a campaign that will allow online users to vote for their favorite not-for-profit organization to win a new vehicle valued at $20,000.

From May 24 to June 14, charities are encouraged to complete nomination forms to officially enter their organization in the Tops Great American Charity Car Giveaway. From June 21 to July 7, users can register and vote once a day for their favorite charity through the Tops website (www.topsmarkets.com) or through the Tops facebook page (www.facebook.com/topsfriendlymarkets). The top 10 charities receiving the most votes will be selected to move to the final round of voting. From July 13 to July 26, users can then vote for one of the top 10 charities once per day through the Tops website or facebook page. The votes will be tallied and a winner of a brand new vehicle will be announced.

The Great American Charity Car Giveaway campaign is exclusive to Tops Markets’ website and newly developed facebook page. Tops re-launched its company website in early 2011 and launched its Tops Friendly Markets facebook page in early April.
