Back in 2016: The Great American Milk Drive to Help Those Less Fortunate

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. – Just in time for the primary election season, the Monopoly® Collect and Win game has returned to Tops Friendly Markets. With the theme "Decision to Win," customers can vote to play in-store and online with nearly $11 millions of dollars in prizes and money-saving coupons available.

Now in its 7th year, the Monopoly® Collect and Win game at Tops allows customers to play every time they check-out at a Tops Friendly Markets location. Customers play the Monopoly® Collect and Win game by obtaining a free game board at any Tops Markets location; upon checkout, game tickets are provided. One game ticket is given for every purchase with a BonusPlus card, with additional tickets provided based on the purchase of more than 2,000 specially marked Bonus Buy items and with the purchase of any gift card.

Just one week into the game, the Monopoly® Collect and Win game has it first big winner. Dawn Gillotti, a resident of Geneva, N.Y., gathered the necessary game pieces and won a new car or cash equivalent of $35,000.

With an election theme of "Decision to Win," customers can vote to play in-store and online, with nearly $11 million in prizes – including a new home -- and money-saving coupons available. Customers play the Monopoly® Collect and Win game by obtaining a free game board at any Tops Markets location; upon checkout, game tickets are provided. One game ticket is given for every purchase with a BonusPlus card, with additional tickets provided based on the purchase of more than 2,000 specially marked Bonus Buy items and with the purchase of any gift card.

Inside each game ticket, customers receive four game “markers” as pieces of one of the 14 opportunities within the game board. Customers collect the appropriate markers on the game board to complete the picture and win that prize. Within each ticket are also instant wins of cash, in-store products and money-saving coupon offers.

Continuing this year is an online version of the Tops Monopoly® Collect and Win Game. Each game ticket may also include one game marker with a special nine digit code. Customers can visit www.TopsMarkets.com and enter their code to win two (2) free Monopoly® Collect and Win tickets and other prizes, ranging from $2 in Tops BonusBucks to $20,000 cash.

The top in-store prizes this year are: • $250,000 for a new home • $100,000 retirement account • $35,000 luxury vehicle • $25,000 education account • $10,000 kitchen remodel • $5,200 Free Tops groceries for one year ($100 a week) • $2,000 Free Tops gas for one year

In the spirit of this election year, Tops will also give away a family vacation to Washington, D.C., valued at $3,000. Other prizes include a Smart Home system, Darien Lake vacation and an Apple watch. Instant win tickets provided in-store can result in cash prizes ranging from $20 to $10,000.

Once again this year, Tops is participating in the Great American Milk Drive as part of the Monopoly® Collect and Win game. For every free half-gallon of milk instant win ticket redeemed by customers, Tops will match it with a donation of a half-gallon of milk to local food banks. In 2015, Tops provided vouchers for 24,000 half-gallons of milk to food banks across its markets.
