Bentley is the former head coach and general manager for the Arena Football League’s Buffalo Destroyers from 2000 through 2002 where his team’s made the playoffs twice, in ’00 and ’02. At Central Michigan University he played on back-to-back MAC Championship teams in 1979 and 1980. Ray majored in English Literature and later went on to publish seven children’s books. He now resides in New Hampshire with his wife, Jodi where he is working on his football memoirs.
