TOPS MARKETS LAUNCHES UNITED WAY CAMPAIGN
WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. – Tops Friendly Markets, a leading full-service grocery retailer in New York, northern Pennsylvania, western Vermont, and north central Massachusetts, is pleased to begin its annual campaign for the United Way of Erie and Niagara County. The campaign is now underway at all participating Tops Friendly Market locations in Erie and Niagara Counties and will run through September 16, 2017.

Customers can support the United Way and make a difference in their own backyard by purchasing a United Way icon for $1.00 or rounding up their change at the register. TOPS will then donate 100% of the proceeds to United Way to support their mission of helping to bring people, organizations, and resources together to improve community well-being.

“Tops Markets strongly believes in giving back to the communities in which we serve. With the help and compassion of our associates and customers, we know we can make a difference supporting the United Way Campaign,” said Kathy Romanowski, Public and Media Relations Specialist for Tops Markets.

TOPS has conducted this campaign with the United Way since 2014 donating over $274,000. Additionally, TOPS has been supporting the United Way’s Corporate Challenge, now in its tenth year, which awards prizes to encourage people to donate. TOPS also encourages its associates to make a contribution to the United Way’s annual campaign as well. Last year alone over $189,000 was raised by TOPS associates for the United Way of Erie and Niagara County.
