THE BUFFALO BILLS, TOPS MARKETS AND CAMPBELL’S CHUNKY SOUP DONATE MORE THAN 23,000 CANS OF SOUP
THROUGH “TACKLING HUNGER W/ BUFFALO BILLS

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (February, 16, 2018) – Tops Friendly Markets, in partnership with the Buffalo Bills and Campbell’s Chunky soup, the Official Soup Sponsor of the NFL, have announced the results of the “Tackling Hunger with the Buffalo Bills” program for the 2017 football season. With over 1,016 tackles made during the regular season, more than 23,000 cans of soup were donated to food banks throughout western and upstate New York. “The Food Bank of WNY is grateful for the partnership of the Buffalo Bills, Campbell’s Chunky soup and Tops Friendly Markets as we continue to fight hunger one day at a time. This generous donation of soup will help warm and nourish hungry children, seniors and families throughout our community during these cold winter months," Tara A. Ellis, president and CEO of the Food Bank of WNY, said.

Beginning September 10, for every tackle the Buffalo Bills defense made during the 2017 season, Campbell’s Chunky soup donated 20 cans of soup to food banks in western and upstate New York (the Food Bank of Western New York, Rochester Foodlink, the Food Bank of Central New York, and the Food Bank of the Southern Tier) to help close the nutrition gap among families in need. Because of the outstanding performance of the Buffalo Bills and the generosity of Campbell’s a donation above and beyond was made, totaling 23,040 cans of Campbell’s soup.
