Tops Friendly Markets and the Taste of Buffalo are pleased to announce that Cecilia Brooks, a talented fifteen year-old artist from Williamsville, N.Y. is the grand prize winner of the 2018 Taste of Buffalo Tops Poster Art contest. Cecilia was the winner for artists in the 13-18 year old age group. Cecilia’s artwork will be featured on the cover of the event’s festival guide and on the festival poster. In addition, Cecilia will receive a $1,000 prize. Heidi Noll, a twenty year-old resident of Cheektowaga, N.Y. was the winner in the 19+ age group and will be presented with $500. The prizes are courtesy of TOPS and The Taste of Buffalo.

“This year we were happy to open up the Tops Poster Art contest to artists of all ages and we received a lot of great entries,” said Rich McDermott, 2018 Taste chair. “In partnership with Tops Friendly Markets, the Taste of Buffalo was proud to encourage the talents of the bevy of local artists through this annual competition.”

The Taste of Buffalo will take place on July 7 and 8, 2018 along Delaware Avenue and Niagara Square in downtown Buffalo.

About Taste of Buffalo presented by Tops The Taste of Buffalo presented by Tops is the nation's largest two-day food festival, attracting more than 450,000 people to Buffalo each year. The 35th annual Taste will take place on July 7 and 8, 2018 along Delaware Avenue in downtown Buffalo. The Taste is a not-for-profit organization with more than 1,000 volunteers helping to put on the annual event. Each year, the Taste allocates funds to support the community through donations to local charities. In addition, the Taste partners with select non-profits to staff ticket and beverage booths with volunteers in return for a donation. The festival also offers five annual $1,000 scholarships to local high school seniors pursuing a culinary or hospitality-related degree.
