| TOPS FRIENDLY MARKETS VETERAN EMPLOYEES MIKE NUGENT AND JIM GIBSON TAKE ON NEW ROLES | |
| Williamsville, N.Y. –Tops Friendly Markets, a leading full-service grocery retailer in New York, northern Pennsylvania, and Vermont, is pleased to announce the promotions of Mike Nugent to the role of Director of Center Store/Grocery and Jim Gibson to the role of Director, Asset Protection. Mike joined the Tops team in 1992 as a cart associate and has most recently served as the Director of Asset Protection for the past three years. He has served the company for over 26 years in various positions, including as a District Manager prior to Asset Protection, and as a long-term Store Manager before that. Mike holds an Executive MBA degree from the University at Buffalo. In his spare time, he is a adjunct Professor at the University of Buffalo, where he teaches Organizational Behavior during evening classes. Jim Gibson has assumed the role of Director, Asset Protection. Jim joined the Tops team in 1987 as a part time Meat Clerk and has most recently served as a District Manager. He has served the company for over 30 years in various positions including Department Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Store Manager, and Non-Perishable Field Specialist.
