| TOPS ASSOCIATE JIM SCHMITT HONORED BY REFRIGIWEAR
Receives Lifetime Achievement and Warehouseman of the Year Honors |

| Williamsville, N.Y. –Tops Friendly Markets, a leading full-service grocery retailer in New York, northern Pennsylvania, and Vermont, is pleased to announce the recognition of Jim Schmitt, warehouse associate for Tops Friendly Markets, for his Lifetime Achievement and Warehouseman of the Year awards. The honor, presented by RefrigiWear, a national manufacturer of cold weather garments, recognized Jim’s 30 years as a Tops associate in Tops Frozen Distribution center. “Jim knows all the functions of our operation, ranging from both shipping and receiving to being a member of our safety committee, Emergency Response Team, and a union steward to his fellow associates,” said Brain Ardillo, general manager of Tops Frozen Distribution Center. “Jim has a unique ability to be self-motivated, takes what he does to heart, and this shows in his performance. Jim is well respected by both his peers and management team, is always willing to volunteer when needed, and is always looking for ways to improve operations.” A luncheon and award presentation was held earlier this month recognizing Jim for his achievement.
