Take Part in #GivingTuesday

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. – #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving held on November 27, 2018, is fueled by the power of social media and its collaborations mirrors the Tops mission of being an active, charitable member in the communities we serve. This year Tops is tying in the Food for Families Campaign with Giving Tuesday and is encouraging YOU to join the movement. In 2018 Tops has set a goal to provide 2 million meals for our neighbors in need and invites you to be a part of kicking off the Food for Families campaign with taking part in #GivingTuesday by making an online donation.

On Tuesday, November 27, join the movement and make an online donation of a Little Brown Bag of Hope in honor of #GivingTuesday and be automatically entered to win a Tops Gift Card. Simply visit

If you miss #GivingTuesday, there is still plenty of time to make a donation. The Little Brown Bag of Hope campaign will continue through December 15 in store and online. Customers can easily purchase a Little Brown Bag of Hope paper icon at the register anytime they shop. At the register customers will be asked if they want to support the campaign by buying a $5 Breakfast, $10 Lunch, and/or $20 Dinner for someone in need in our community.

Virtual Little Brown Bags of Hope will also be available for purchase online by simply visiting so no matter what the weather, a donation can be made right from their phone, tablet, or desktop. Here customers can select what food bank they wish their donation to benefit.

“One in eight Individuals struggle with hunger year round, and as a Food Bank Board Member our goal is to help provide awareness and food donations every day to those in need, said Kristen Hanson, vice president, center store sales and merchandising, for Tops and Food Bank of WNY board member. “It is especially important during the holidays to help support the growing need right here in our community.
