WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. – The Taste of Buffalo presented by Tops is inviting local artists (students and the general public alike) to capture its essence in art by entering in the 2019 poster art contest. This year’s festival taking place July 13-14, 2019, will once again fill the streets of downtown Buffalo with over 450,000 guests, delicious morsels from over 50 restaurants and food trucks, and six wineries.

Beginning Sunday, February 17, 2019 persons 13 years of age and older are encouraged to submit their designs. Original works of art that best convey the feel and flavor of this summertime food festival will be accepted until Friday, March 22. Two cash prizes of $500 each will be awarded (one in each of two age categories – 13-18 years of age and 19+ years of age). One grand prize winner will then be selected from the two finalists. The grand prize winner will receive an additional $500 and their artwork will become the official 2019 Taste of Buffalo poster and may be used in some of the Taste’s other marketing materials. The entries will be judged and the winners will be announced on or about Monday, April 8, 2019. A complete list of rules and design guidelines can be found on the TOPS website at and on

“We’re always excited to see the many entries that are submitted each year” said Matthew Testa, 2019 Taste Chair. “Buffalo is made up of so many talented artists and we love that the Taste of Buffalo is another way to highlight the creativity of Western New Yorkers.” # # #
